Sivananda Yoga Teachers’ Training Course (TTC)
The Sivananda Yoga Teachers’ Training Course (TTC) is an intense four-week program that immerses students in the practice of yoga and meditation. The course provides a solid foundation for teaching yoga to others. The curriculum includes the study and practice of asanas, pranayama, meditation, Vedanta philosophy, yogic diet, kriya techniques, mantras, devotional chanting (Kirtan), anatomy and physiology. The teachers’ training course is a profound personal experience based on the ancient gurukula teaching system, integrating yoga training into the students’ daily lives.
The course instructors
The course is taught by Yoga Acharyas (spiritual teachers) personally trained by Swami Vishnudevananda as well as other experienced Swamis and yoga teachers. They regularly participate in special further training in India to deepen their Yoga knowledge and practice.
Language of instruction
The courses are taught in English. Simultaneous translation into a number of International languages is available.
Upon successful completion of the Sivananda Yoga Teachers’ Training Course, the yoga teacher receives a yoga certificate confirming that they have sufficient knowledge and practical experience to teach Hatha Yoga (asanas, pranayama and relaxation) to beginners and intermediate yoga students.

TTC Refresher Course
The two-week TTC Refresher Course gives graduates of the TTC an opportunity to invigorate their practice and re-immerse themselves in spiritual life. The course gives a boost to improve their teaching skills by reconnecting to the source of inspiration and guidance in their spiritual journey.
Advanced Teachers’ Training Course (ATTC)
The Advanced Teachers' Training Course (ATTC) is designed for graduates of the TTC to deepen their spiritual knowledge over four weeks of intensive Yoga practice and the study of Vedanta philosophy. Individual guidance and Yogic self-discipline are important aspects of the course. Students study Sanskrit, Raja Yoga Sutras of Patanjali, Vedanta philosophy and anatomy and physiology along with intense daily practice of Asanas, Pranayama and Bandhas.

Sadhana Intensive
Sadhana Intensive is a program devised by Swami Vishnudevananda for the TTC graduates based on his own Hatha Yoga Sadhana in the Himalayas. This course is based on individual self-practice divided into two or three sessions per day. The emphasis is on intense and prolonged Pranayama. Explanation and practice of Mudras, Bandhas and Mantras, Study of the Hatha Yoga Pradipika as well as excerpts from ancient Bhakti and Vedantic writings are part of curriculum.

Yoga Vacation
