Their study elevates and purifies the mind. the Mundaka Upanishad\u2014<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>64-verse exposition on advaita vedanta<\/li>\n<li>eulogy on Knowledge, found in the Atharva Veda<\/li>\n<li>one of the most important amongst the Upanishadic texts<\/li>\n<li>classified as the fifth in the ten classical or fundamental Upanishads of vedanta philosophy<\/li>\n<li>the Mundaka cuts off the illusion and errors of the mind, like a razor.\u2014Swami Sivananda<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Narada Bhakti Sutras <\/strong><br \/>Devotional teachings open the heart to divine love. Only love of the absolute eternal truth is the greatest; this love indeed, is the greatest. Sutra 81. the Narada Bhakta Sutras expound<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>the true nature of divine love and God\u2019s grace<\/li>\n<li>the importance of self-surrender and renunciation<\/li>\n<li>the significance of the keeping of holy company<\/li>\n<li>poetic and soul-elevating guidance on how to reach God<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Vedic Chanting <\/strong><br \/>The ancient sages used sound as a spiritual tool to tune to the divine energy that is God. Otherwise please bring your preferred versions of chants.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>What to Bring<\/strong>\u2013comfortable clothes, sandals, toiletries, personal items, meditation shawl, yoga mat, meditation cushion, notebooks, pens, towels, water bottle and torch. You can also purchase these items at the Ashram boutique.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Meals<\/strong>\u2014simple vegetarian meals are served at 10am and 6pm<\/p>\n<p><strong>Arrival<\/strong>\u2014Saturday 3rd April. The programme starts on 4th April.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Departure<\/strong>\u2014Sunday 18th April.
