“God is love and love is God.”
~Swami Sivananda, Bhakti Yoga
Bhakti Yoga (Devotion)
Bhakti Yoga trains how you relate. At the centre, this is experienced in satsang—chanting, kirtan, and collective prayer. The structure is simple: a few chants, silence, and a shared focus.
Singing together has a direct effect. Attention moves away from personal concerns and into the sound itself. Even those unfamiliar with chanting begin to feel a sense of ease after a few sessions.
The teaching goes deeper than emotion. Devotion is not limited to music or ritual. It is the ability to stay open, even in difficulty. Gratitude, patience, and humility grow from this practice.
Over time, Bhakti reduces emotional friction. Reactions soften, and connection improves—with others and with one’s own inner state.
