Sivananda Kutir situated on the banks of the holy river Ganga, nestled among the Himalayan Mountains makes the perfect setting for yoga practices. Swami Vishnudevananda took charge of the ashram in 1991. Since then the ashram has expanded significantly within the confines of a small area. Previously the ashram was under the direction of Swami Akhandananda. It is located in the village of Netala, 8 km north of Uttar Kashi on the Gangotri Road.

Sivananda Kutir welcomes guests from April to November each year. Prior booking is essential as all programs and courses are limited to a maximum of 30 students.  Please note that all administration for courses is managed from the Neyyar Dam ashram.  Kindly contact This email address is being protected from spambots. The ashram is not open to Yoga Vacation guests during international courses.

The Importance of Sivananda Yoga with David Frawley
