Classes

Our numerous classes in classical hatha yoga include sessions adapted for intermediate and advanced students, pregnancy, kids, and for those wishing a more gentle practice. Each class emphasises proper breathing, flexibility, strength and vitality in the body while calming the mind. Most classes follow a structure of: initial relaxation (Savasana), breathing exercises (Pranayama), sun salutation (Surya Namaskar), 12 basic postures (Asanas), and final guided relaxation.

Our classes are based on the traditional teachings of Yoga and Vedanta which aims to naturally achieve the goal of self-realisation and peace through creating a healthy body and mind that leads to spiritual evolution.

Open Class

*Daily morning 6am/9:30am

* Evening Mon to Fri 6:30pm

The Open Class is available on a drop-in basis to all who have completed the Beginners’ Course. The powerful sequence of traditional yoga includes pranayama, sun salutation, the 12 classical basic postures and deep relaxation.

Prerequisite: Beginners course or teacher approval

Note : No advance registration. Please see the class schedule for class timings and come 15 minutes early to the centre

Kids’ Yoga

A lively approach to yoga to help kids develop coordination, flexibility, strength, and confidence as well as enhancing concentration, memory, and a sense of well-being and self-awareness. The classes include yoga postures, proper breathing, meditation, chanting, and spiritual storytelling. It’s a lot of fun—the kids make new friends and develop new and positive interests. Open to children age 7-12 years.

*200 Rs per class.

*1,500 Rs for 10 classes (Validity 3 months).

Weight Loss

Donation : INR 5000

Weight loss begins first in your head with the right decision. Anything more than need is a poison, including the fat giving rise to all problems. Let’s learn to shed that extra fat working on pancha pranas, increasing our pranic energy to begin a healthy active life.

Gentle Yoga

Gentle Yoga

A slower-paced class for people of all sizes, ages and fitness levels. Gentle yoga removes any fears or challenges in doing yoga. Classes are designed for those who want to take a more gentle class to improve general mobility, health and well-being. The class includes easy basic postures with some variations, breathing exercises, and relaxation.

Private Classes

Due to an increased demand from students who are not able to attend regular scheduled yoga classes or who require personal attention, the Centre now offers private yoga classes. Please contact the Centre for full information.

Satsang & Meditation

Satsang is at the heart of yoga practice. It is the gateway to inner peace and spiritual growth. It means ‘association with the wise’. It starts with half an hour of silent meditation followed by devotional chanting and an informal talk on the practical philosophy of yoga and vedanta. Here is an opportunity to share the wisdom of our Masters, Swami Sivananda and Swami Vishnudevananda, through their books and other writings. The group energy of Satsang helps in accelerating the personal growth of the aspirants; meditating together creates a strong spiritual atmosphere which allows for a deeper experience of meditation. People of different levels come together, from newcomers to experienced yoga teachers—it is free and all are welcome.
