Ashram Information

Check-in
- Upon arrival at any of our Ashrams, all guests check in at the Reception.
- Check-in time for single and shared rooms is from 2.00pm and requires advance booking. Please visit the webpage for the location you are visiting to make your arrangements.
- Check-in for dormitory accommodation is at anytime and does not require prior booking.

Check-Out
- Check-out time is by 11.00am for single and shared accommodation.
- When checking out, please obtain an Exit Pass from Reception.
- If leaving outside office hours (before 8am or after 7.30pm), please checkout the day before.
- All dormitory bedding to be returned before departure.
- All room keys must be returned to Reception.

Ashram Free Day
To maintain the sattvic ashram atmosphere and to derive maximum benefit during your stay, guests and volunteer staff are expected to remain in the ashram during their stay.
- Fridays are a free day between 7.30am – 5.30pm at all our ashrams and guests may go explore the nearby city or cultural sites.
- Each Ashram also offers organised day trips on Fridays to places of cultural interest in their respective areas. Guests are welcome to join those supervised excursions.

Payments & Donations
- Daily rates at the Ashrams include classes, food and accommodation. Course dates and pricing are subject to change without notice.
- Personal cheques are not accepted.
- The Indian concessional rate does not apply to: non-resident Indians (NRI), Indian nationals working or living abroad, foreign nationals working or living in India, Overseas Citizen of India (OCI) and Person of Indian Origin (PIO).
- Indian nationals may be asked to provide evidence of Indian nationality.

To facilitate working from the Ashram
- (Workcation) please talk to the respective ashram director about your intention Laptop
- Personal Hotspot (recommended connections are Airtel & Jio)

Bringing your children
- During peak season (October – March) generally it is advised that children under the age of 7 not be brought to the ashram.
- During low season (April – September) children of all ages are welcome provided they are supervised by their guardians/ parents.
- Please contact the ashram directly if planning on bringing young children.

Minimum Stay
- Each ashram has a minimum stay of three days, with the exception of Sivananda Kutir which is seven days.
- An initial minimum payment for the accommodation at the Ashram is required upon arrival and registration.
- This payment is non-refundable and non-transferable in the event of early departure.

Guest Guidelines
- To maintain the spiritual atmosphere of the Ashram we ask all guests to follow our Ashram Guidelines
- Any Ashram reserves the right of admission and guests may be asked to leave if their behaviour is contrary to the Ashram code of conduct

Personal Belongings
- Please check with the ashram you are staying at for safe-keeping and locker facilities availability.
- We do not accept responsibility for guests’ personal belongings.

Tests & Vaccinations
- Guests are advised to check with their local health authority regarding health advisories and vaccinations required for visiting India

Registration & Visa Requirements
- Indian Nationals are required to bring a valid photo ID (Driver’s License or Aadhar Card) along with them
- Foreign Nationals are required to bring their original passport with them
- A valid visa is required from most countries to visit India

Meals
- We serve simple, nutritious south Indian lacto-vegetarian food.
- We are unable to cater to specific allergies or food preferences, however food serving staff can assist you in selection.
- Brunch (10am)
- Herbal tea with snack (1.30pm)
- Dinner (6pm)

Drinking Water
- Filtered water or herbal water is freely available throughout the Ashram.
- Guests are advised not to drink tap water

Karma Yoga
- The Ashram is a charitable, non-profit organisation supported by dedicated volunteer staff
- Guests participate in one hour of karma yoga or selfless service to help in various tasks around the Ashram
