An Introduction to Ayurveda in 5 Days

In keeping with our focus on physical, mental and spiritual well-being, we are happy to present a series of lectures introducing the fundamental concepts of Ayurveda. This course will help you understand the basics of the Ayurvedic system and traditional preventative healthcare – while enabling you to make significant lifestyle changes for a healthier, happier life.

The course is conducted by Dr. Vishnu PR, Director of the Sivananda Institute for Health, Sivananda Dhanwantari Ashram, Neyyar Dam. People from the world over come to him for healing and guidance. As an expert in Panchakarma, he conducts Ayurveda & Panchakarma courses for hundreds of students every year at the Sivananda Ashrams in India and Canada.

This 5-day special course lays the foundation for an upcoming series of online courses on Ayurveda by Sivananda India.

DAY 1 – Introducing Ayurveda & Its Basic Principles

DAY 2 – Tridosha Theory According to Ayurveda

DAY 3Daily Regimen & Boosting Immunity

Focusing on preventative care, Ayurveda recommends a daily regimen or Dinacharya. This session is all about the daily regimen that will help you create a positive change in your lifestyle, while suggesting simple home remedies to boost immunity. Dr. Priya will be joining us for DAY 3.  She has been guest faculty at the Ayurveda courses conducted at Sivananda Dhanwantari Ashram for the past 7 years.
