Sharpen the intellect and open the heart with the study of prime scriptures—the Mundaka Upanishad and the Narada Bhakti Sutras. Calm the restless mind with daily Vedic chanting. Appreciate a feeling of well-being with daily asana and pranayama, joining like-minded souls in fourteen days of spiritual practice. A certificate of participation will be given on completion of the Camp.
Mundaka Upanishad
The Upanishads offer the highest spiritual teachings. Their study elevates and purifies the mind. the Mundaka Upanishad—
- 64-verse exposition on advaita vedanta
- eulogy on Knowledge, found in the Atharva Veda
- one of the most important amongst the Upanishadic texts
- classified as the fifth in the ten classical or fundamental Upanishads of vedanta philosophy

Narada Bhakti Sutras
Devotional teachings open the heart to divine love. Only love of the absolute eternal truth is the greatest; this love indeed, is the greatest. Sutra 81. the Narada Bhakta Sutras expound
- the true nature of divine love and God’s grace
- the importance of self-surrender and renunciation
- the significance of the keeping of holy company
- poetic and soul-elevating guidance on how to reach God
Vedic Chanting
The ancient sages used sound as a spiritual tool to tune to the divine energy that is God. Vedic and Puranic texts energise and stabilise the mind, increase levels of concentration and create a sacred connection to others as we chant together. The texts will vary day to day.

The Camp is open to all those committed to a serious and concentrated programme of yoga sadhana, dedicated to spiritual growth. You will follow a structured and disciplined daily schedule which includes study, chanting, yoga asana and meditation practice.
- Meat, fish, eggs, black tea, coffee, alcohol, tobacco, drugs and nudity are prohibited during the Camp.
- A dress-code is followed.
- It is not possible to cater to personal dietary preferences beyond the yogic-vegetarian meals.
- Participants who do not comply with the Ashram rules may be dismissed from the course.

Our accommodation is simple and functional. The Ashram offers separate male and female dormitory and shared twin room accommodation (No single rooms). 2 bed sheets, a pillow, and pillow case are provided.

- Shared twin rooms: With attached private bathroom
Texts
- a copy of the Mundaka Upanishad and the Narada Bhakti Sutras with commentaries by Swami Sivananda will be provided as part of the Camp.
- for the chanting sessions Mantrapushpam is recommended if you know Devanagari. Otherwise please bring your preferred versions of chants.
What to Bring–comfortable clothes, sandals, toiletries, personal items, meditation shawl, yoga mat, meditation cushion, notebooks, pens, towels, water bottle and torch. You can also purchase these items at the Ashram boutique.
Meals—simple vegetarian meals are served at 10am and 6pm
Arrival—Saturday 3rd April. The programme starts on 4th April.
Departure—Sunday 18th April. The programme ends the evening 17th April.
Refund Policy
Please note that the following policy will be applied regardless of any problem resulting from the corona virus situation.
- Full refunds will only be granted where SYVC has had to cancel the course.
- For cancelling the registration before the start of the course, the original payment will be refunded less Rs 2,000.
- Once the course starts, if the student decides to leave within three days, the original payment will be refunded pro-rata.
- After three days of the course, no refund will be issued.
